07 / OUR MISSION

Build relationships
that continue.

Understand the opportunity, focus on the right people and always create a useful next step.

WHY WE'RE HERE

Turn introductions into future customers.

We are here to expand the reach of GS Import and build relationships with new potential customers. FHT gives us access to F&B professionals who choose and buy wine for their businesses—people who can otherwise be difficult to reach.

The goal is not simply to sell as much wine as possible during the expo. Some visitors may order immediately; many will not, and that is completely normal. We want to start relationships with businesses that could become repeat customers.

  • Identify genuine potential customers.
  • Understand their business and what they need.
  • Introduce GS Import and the wines most relevant to them.
  • Give them a positive reason to remember us.
  • Record their contact details and interests.
  • Create an opportunity to continue the conversation.
“The expo is the beginning of the relationship, not the end of the sales process.”
OUR IDEAL CUSTOMER

Focus on commercial potential.

Everyone should be treated professionally and positively. When the booth is busy, focus time on people who could create the greatest opportunities for GS Import.

Priority visitors

  • Restaurant, bar and hospitality owners
  • F&B managers and directors
  • Sommeliers and beverage managers
  • Purchasing and procurement staff
  • Hotel and restaurant management
  • Distributors and trade partners
  • Well-connected F&B professionals
  • Anyone who influences wine buying
THE IMPORTANT QUESTION

Not simply “Are they interested in wine?”

Could this person buy, recommend, influence or create an opportunity for GS Import?
WHAT WE WANT TO ACHIEVE

Five steps for every strong conversation.

01

Start the Conversation

Introduce yourself. Use their badge to understand their company and position.

02

Understand Their Business

Naturally explore their business type, wine styles, price points, current suppliers and any gaps in their wine offering.

03

Introduce Relevant Wines

Do not show everyone everything. Match wines to their needs and involve Minh or Fields for a worthwhile tasting.

04

Explain Our Support

Present GS Import as a long-term partner: direct support, Table Sommelier, training, sommelier help, wine-list consultation, Vinstack and tasting events.

05

Decide What Happens Next

Agree a follow-up, information send, visit, tasting, sample, meeting, quotation or order. Record contact details and interests.

“A good conversation needs a reason to continue after the expo.”
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Quality of opportunity, not booth traffic.

We do not measure success by

  • Samples given away
  • People saying they like the wine
  • Total visitor numbers
  • How busy the booth looks

Qualified B2B contacts

People who could buy, recommend or influence GS Import wine purchases.

High-potential opportunities

Businesses and decision-makers likely to become customers in the short term.

Useful follow-up information

Business, needs, wines tasted, interests, opportunity and next step.

Expo wine sales

Welcome, but less important than relationships that lead to repeat B2B business.

“One strong repeat customer can be worth far more than dozens of individual bottle sales.”
08 / THE TEAM

Five people.
One team.

Nobody needs to know everything. Bring in the right colleague at the right moment.

SOMMELIERS

Minh & Fields

  • Lead tastings with prospective customers
  • Explain wines, producers, regions and varieties
  • Answer technical wine questions
  • Match wines to customer requirements
  • Support pairing and wine-list advice
  • Check open wines before serving
SALES & OPERATIONS

Jaa, Nana & Ploy

  • Understand the customer's business and needs
  • Discuss pricing and commercial opportunities
  • Explain how GS Import supports customers
  • Identify and record sales opportunities
  • Collect contact details and establish next steps
  • Support booth operations

BOOTH RULES

How we show up.

01

Stay Professional

Use phones when necessary, but stay aware of visitors. A team absorbed in phones creates a poor first impression.

02

Don't Get Drunk

Always spit wine out when tasting. Stay professional, alert and capable throughout the day.

03

Tastings Are Tastings

This is a trade expo, not a giveaway. Use small tasting pours—enough to assess the wine without waste.

04

Protect Wine Quality

Before serving an older open bottle, Minh or Fields must check that it is showing properly.

05

Glasses Belong to Everyone

Everyone washes and dries glasses. Monitor availability and arrange cleaning before we run out.

06

Don't Crowd Customers

Let one person build the relationship. Bring in another colleague only when their help is useful.

07

Look After Each Other

Take lunch and short breaks, drink water, cover for colleagues and speak up when you need a break.

08

Handle Problems Calmly

No arguing, sulking or ignoring each other. Resolve disagreements calmly and away from visitors.

“Customers should always see one professional GS Import team working together.”

10 / ABOUT GS IMPORT

More than a
wine supplier.

Who is GS Import?

GS Import is a young, independent wine importer and distributor with a genuine passion for wine. We specialise exclusively in the HORECA industry, supplying restaurants, hotels, bars and other hospitality businesses.

We personally taste and evaluate wines before agreeing to represent a producer. We choose wines we believe in and are confident putting in front of our customers.

Our goal is to help F&B professionals build, manage and sell a better wine offering—not simply supply bottles.

QUALITY FROM PRODUCER TO CUSTOMER

Protected all the way.

Our wines are stored in a temperature-controlled warehouse. We maintain visibility of temperature conditions from producer to customer, helping ensure every wine arrives as its producer intended.
